Summary: The BBCs coverage on World Briefing was thorough, clear, and benefitted from the extra couple of hours to offer good analysis as well as some eye-witness reports. It was a reminder, if one needed it, why the BBCs news reporting if not its peculiar habit for self-flagellation is revered the world over. More or less all this respect came from the BBCs international services, and more or less all of that came from the World Services highly potent cocktail of history, mythology and reality.
