Summary: Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, yesterday revealed 65 towns and cities across the UK which could host new local television stations. Despite areas such as Hemel Hempstead, Bedford and Stoke being included among those chosen, nowhere in Northamptonshire was picked. But the fact that it hasnt been chosen among these first 65 areas doesnt mean that it might not be picked in the longer term, if and when the pilot areas work well.
