Dave Lindsay: Yes, that is also a possibility that cannot be discounted dependant on the signal levels being received, this being something that I was unable to check on as Digital UK's reception predictor appears to be having problems since late on yesterday evening, and with a check I made a short time ago indicating that the situation hasn't improved any.

jb38: The Digital UK predictor was giving me "Error 500" on Friday (or maybe Thursday). I wondered if they'd prevented me from looking at it due to doing so many requests!

I see that you're having difficulty and Mark Fletcher has said the same thing.

Dave Lindsay: Thanks also for your confirmation of the problem, I just hope that Digital UK sorts it out soon as although the signal level info provided has always to be taken with the proverbial pinch of salt as its not quite so precise as it would appear, its still an excellent reference source and just like yourself is used continually by me also, as there is an element of "being in the dark" when trying to assess anything without it exactly in the same way as someone requesting assistance with a reception problem but failing to give their location.

I am not a Sky customer./ However I do have a freestat -HD Humax and outside dish.
My Panasonic TV has 5 channels listed for HD.
I now wish to view Premier league Sports Programmes. To whom would you recommend I contact for the best re-arrangement.I may have no option but to purchase a Sky package but not keen to do so owing to their hold on the market.

Briantist: I see that Astra 2F has arrived at the European Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, where it will now be processed for launch aboard an Ariane V rocket. The launch is scheduled for the 21st September 2012. This satellite was featured in a documentary programme on the BBC last November,. The programme was called "How To Build A Satellite".

What is BBC North is now referred to as BBC Yorkshire:

BBC North | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice

Its news programme is "Look North (Yorkshire)" and the regional idents say "Yorkshire" underneath the BBC One logo.

Eight years ago "BBC North" was split into "Yorkshire" and "East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire". When they are re-united for particular regional programming, they are known as "Yorkshire and Lincolnshire".

Also, "BBC North East" is "BBC North East and Cumbria".

According to Ofcom, Oliver's Mount now broadcasts identical programming to that of Emley Moor:

Previously I understand that BBC was relayed from Emley Moor and ITV and Channel 4 came from Belmont; these links are still shown on the regional maps on this site.

All Itv channels have disappeared from my mothers Tv since a thunder storm 3 days ago. We have tried auto retuning and manual tune but when we bring up the number on the channels list itv just says this channel is not tuned. Is there a transmitter problem affecting north somerset or is there something I can do on her tv? Itv is a sony tv and she lives just south of Bristol.

You will have to perform a total reset procedure on your mum's TV to restore the lost multiplexes in your mum's location.

Now the power has been increased on all the major multiplexes including Rowridge since the end of analogue transmissions does this mean that within the coverage area of the transmitter reception is now possible in virtually every room of the house using a settop aerial the same as with the old UHF analogue transmissions?
