Hi,
Please can you tell me what is going on? I find that itv3 does not transmitt in the evrnings and I get a lot of pixalisation on yesterday, film 4, which narrows my selection of programs to whatch.
Also I would like to opject to having Adult channels transmitting what I would call porn materiel slbeit at nigh. Also channels which obviously transmit solely gameshows I am one for plently of documenteries and te Geogrephic channels alongside the BBC and ITV Channels,
I use a gidgy box built into my set and I am checking my own television equipment and arial.
Thank you in advanse of your comments.

Hi, we have been on a estate shared aerial but due to pixing on the tv we decided to install a loft aerial(not allowed to fix one to the buildings) purchased a "commtel high gain ++ digital with 52 elements, cant get a thing, we have tried all orientations and nothing.
Any ideas as I am beat, thought it would be easier than this.thanks

bob: I'm sorry, but loft aerials are not really suitable for Freeview reception, and you are not predicted to have good reception from the Dover transmitter on multiplex 1 and 2 until switchover next year.
This also explains the poor performance of your "shared aerial" too.

About 3 weeks ago we lost channels Fiver, Five USA and ITV3. About the same time Channel Alba appeared but no content. Although we live in Scone the signal is received from Angus transmitter - a good signal with a booster fitted and I would prefer to keep this. I have retuned twice and still no success. Any suggestions? Thanks Bob

i,
I've just had upvc soffits and guttering installed and decided to ask the installers to install a digital aerial at the same time. We live in Thannington and normally point to the Chartham Hatch transmitter however this is still analongue so asked to point at the Dover transmitter that is digital.
My question is that I'll probably have to get a ladder and try different positions but the main question is that I'm currently only getting CBeebies, BBC4, and BBC Parliament and various Radio Stations. Asked them to move the aerial and then started to also recive Dave, iTV2 etc. I appreciate I'm on the limits of the signal but wonder why these signals are strong and not reciving the usual BBC1, BBC2, ITV etc.
Do you think this is a hopeless cause?
Any advice is very much appreciated.

Gareth: The Digital UK postcode checker currently predicts good reception at your location on MuxB, Mux2 and MuxD. MuxD is shown as deteriorating slightly to variable in November 2011. MuxC is variable but Mux1 and MuxA are both shown as poor. This continues until switchover when you will receive MuxBBCA from 13th June 2012. The other muxes adopt their post switchover powers and frequencies on 27th June 2012. If you have ITV2 you should also have the other channels in Mux2. Try doing a factory reset to clear the channel list before scanning for channels if you have ITV1 etc in the channel list but no reception when the channel is selected. As you say moving the aerial (and raising or lowering it) might improve on the number of muxes being received.

Thanks KMJ,
OK, so it's back on the roof for some tweeking. I lied about ITV2 it's a bit strange really as I'm only really getting what I guess is MUX B ie BBC4, CBeebies and BBC Parliment on the set downstairs while my daughter is getting 5*, ITV2+1 Film 4. The installer also mentioned the old cable had deteroated so I guess this won't be helping.

Hi, I have two tv's working in different rooms perfectly with all freeview channels. Have bought another with built in freeview for another room but it doesn't tune to itv c4 c5 itv2 etc but rest ok. Thinking it was the cabling to the room I connected it to one of the existing rooms aerial links and still no joy. Tv then returned and replaced with another tv different make - still same problem. How can this be . Other tv's still tuned ok ?? But this tv won't tune in the same installation ??
