A beta release of BBC iPlayer on Freesat is available to Humax Freesat boxes in December.

BBC iPlayer will roll out across all existing Freesat HD TVs and boxes in the next few months including those bought since Freesat's launch in May 2008.

Ansel Spear: The RJ45 connector on the Airport Express is used to connect TO the network, not for connecting to a device.

I think that you should setup the airport as a wireless bridge and plug the humax freesat into the Ethernet port on the airport.
This should pick up the wireless signal from your wireless router and provide it through the Lan Cable to the Humax.

I don't see why this should not work. You should also be able to check the connection to the Airport Express by plugging it into your laptop and using the LAN cable as your connection to your network.
Unfortunately I do not have an Airport Express, but reading all the documentation available, it should be able to be configured as a bridge for this purpose.

I know that this is about the BBC I-Player but what is happening with the ITV I-Player - it seems to have been in Beta for ever. is there any news on it being produced as a full service on Freesat?

Drawn here like many others a sound issue.
A freesat box (Bush) and a Netricity HD Adaptor get the pics on the TV reasonably quality and no sound.

Has anyone resolved this or should i pack up trying

Cheers
Steve

Stephen: If you are using some form of adaptor, such as HDMI to DVI, no sound will be provided.

A simple option might be to connect the Freesat box to your stereo (assuming you have one).

Hi Briantist. I have an analog TV and an old Freesky box but would like to be able to get iplayer etc. What is my best way to achieve this? I am on BT broadband at a measured 7mbps. Your video tells me I can wire up a freesat box from the router, but is it possible to use wifi to do this and if so is it effective? Do I need two Arial feeds to make best use of a freesat box?

Thanks

Stephen
