Sheffield transmitter - DIGITAL changes on Wednesday 17th March 2010

If you use the Freeview on Sheffield TV transmitter you will need to perform a rescan of your channels on Wednesday 17th March 2010.

Multiplex 1 (BBC One, BBC Two, BBC three, BBC News and CBBC) moves from C39 to C63.

A simple "Add channels" scan will NOT be sufficient. This may result in channels being allocated the wrong numbers.

Click here for "generic" instructions on retuning a Freeview box, recorder or set.

Click here for a list of manuals and retuning guides for a wide range of equipment.

This is being done to allow Freeview HD to be broadcast from the Emley Moor transmitter.

Harborne transmitter - ANALOGUE changes on Wednesday 14 April 2010

This transmitter provides analogue services only. Freeview uses are not effected.

If are using analogue from the Harborne transmitter, you will need to retune on Wednesday 14 April 2010 because BBC One moves from C30 to C59 and ITV1 moves from C34 to C65.

You only need to do this analogue retune if you use the Harborne transmitter, and on-screen messages will be provided for four weeks prior to the change.

This is being done to allow Freeview HD to be broadcast from the Lichfield transmitter.
