Hi There.
Is it true that though Freeview HD can be picked up with an ordinary aerial (I have found it quite easy even with an indoor aerial) you won't get true HD without a HDMI connection going to the aerial??
Would love clarification on this. In my case the Freeview HD is built into the TV.

Robin: No special aerial is required for Freeview HD.
You will not get Freeview HD without an HDMI connection, or the DVB-T2 decoder being built into the set.

I have an LG 42" tv loaded with freeview and is HD ready, my landlord wants to install a satellite dish to improve signal to both flats, I want a freesat hd box and my neighbour only wants standard box, is this possible from one dish.

James Get them to install a quad LNB on the dish & run 2 cables to each flat. Then you can each use an HD freesat + box where you can record 1 & watch another channel or your neighbour can just use 1 cable for an SD box.

Hi,
I moved into this house and discovered a sky dish and attached cable had been left behind. I cancelled my Sky subscription at my old house a year ago but continue to have the sky box.
Is it possible to get more channels like true movies if I connect the above system up?

Hi again,
Using a freeview set box, there are some channels that get scrambled/distorted and therefore interferes with viewing. Is there a problem with the aerial or the freeview box?

I have a Samsung AV/Blu Ray Player attached to surround sound speakr, a cheap Technika Freeview box with one scart output and aerial in and out connections which runs from a communal digital dish connector on the wall.
Can I run the freeview box signal to the Sky+ box to allow me to convert the freeview audio signal to digital? I was thinking either scart to scart Sky+ / freeview box, continue using the optical link from Sky box to Samsung, and maybe using the Video out connections to the scart on the tv

Should I be able to receive RTE1+2 with sky dish- Freesat from Sky- at location BT34xxx.
Screen shot -"There is a technical problem with this channel" Channels available on subscription SKY.
