Julie G: I had a quick look on the Digital Stream website Digital Stream , and there didn't seem to be any mention of it being smart at all. Yes, there is an ethernet port, and a description from the Amazon website that it means 'so you can connect to the Internet' but no sign that it will go online (unlike a Humax). We stopped selling that model at least a year ago, decent reviews, but no user friendly. Try a google search , but I think it wont do it.
If you want Netflix via your TV, a cheap blu-ray player will allow to do that - the Sony 3100 Buy Sony BDP-S3100 Smart Blu-ray Disc/DVD Player online at John Lewis has wifi built in (so no need for the netgear adapter) for less than £80. A samsung 2D non wifi one (but you can use the netgear in theory) is around for less than £50.
Alternatives are Apple TV (best if you've got an Ipad) or Roku (if your Android) - both will have Netflix in them anyway. UK - What is Roku | Roku Streaming Player - just buy one. - £50 for Roku, or Chromecast for less.

Download an app to your smart phone ie. TV-Catch-up or LiveTV and screencast it to your tv through a Chromecast (HDTV and WIFI needed), simples (Chromecast £30 max).

Lorraine Young: The channel is one that needs to connect to the internet, via her TV. If her TV isn't smart (which sounds like it isn't), she can use another box, such a recorder which does go on the internet, such a Humax PVR, or you can buy the Manhattan Freeview HD box, which can go on the net, for £44. That gives you an HD tuner and Iplayer, etc. They are not bad for the money.

I only get 14 stations from freeview from a booster station as the channels will not pay the extra to boost their signal. Is there an easy way to get full freeview ?

Fred:
It rather depends on where you live. All the 'main' transmitters and some of the smaller one carry all the Freeview channels. These are usually identified as being 'full Freeview' stations. Others are intended to 'fill in' poor reception areas and are generally small and low power so coverage is much less than a 'main' transmitter. Because there are fewer potential customers covered by these, the commercial pressures dictate that there is much less, if any, investment in these smaller transmitters by the commercial operators - it is just too expensive for very little return.
To get more channels you would need to be able to receive Freeview signals from a 'full Freeview' transmitter. To help identify whether that is at all possible in your location we need a full post code (or that of a very nearby shop/post office). With that information we can look at what transmitters are available in your area by looking at the data loinked to by the small blue boxes below psost, such as are shown at the bottom of this one and giving information on my reception possibilities.

Carole Hughes: You will only be able to watch Freeview on your computer if it has a Freeview tuner card/dongle which is connected to an aerial. COM7 which carries Talking Pictures (and COM8) are broadcast from 30 main transmitter sites which cover around 70% of households. These services are temporary and will cease in 2020 and will not be expanded to broadcast from any further transmitters as there are no spare frequencies to broadcast on.
I suspect you are referring to watching TV via your internet connection, where the channels available will depend on what is offered by the service you are streaming from.
