I have now lost all signal can you tell me what the problem might be?
The problem could be one of:
- the aerial has been moved or damaged;
- the cables or connectors that connect the digibox to the aerial are damaged;
- the digibox has broken.
If you have a "spare" digibox you use this to test the aerial connection. Can you still watch analogue TV OK?

evelyn: You really should be looking at you manual, since that will answer your questions.
the scan issue is simple - your PVR wants to update its lost of channels, etc. Your manual will tell you who to do that, but something like 'find new channels' on the setup menu is standard.
By the sound of it you've got an LG (hence the spinning box). The TV has not switched off (or else you would not be seeing anything), but something attached to it, such as a DVD, PVR, etc. If you've connected them via HDMI (which you should be), the TV will automatcially select that 'source' when switched on. However, if you switch that external box off, the TV wont go to something else - its waiting for you to tell it to go to the tuner in the TV, the DVD, etc, and so just says 'no signal', becuase of course there isn't one. Just use source on the remote to move around the different boxes.
If the whole TV goes blank when you switch the PVR off, and you get nothing else, then you've not wired up the TV properly into order for the TV istelf to get a signal. As I said before, you'll need to read your manual.

Michelle: Engineering work "has" been taking place all week at the Winter Hill transmitter, and with this possibly still taking place this weekend, as engineers are not necessarily engaged on a Monday to Friday basis.
Have you ascertained if your neighbours are also experiencing similar problems with reception? if though they are not, then your aerial system could possibly justify improving, as the signal being provided by same is likely to be a tad on the low side. I say this based on the fact of most aerials in your area seen to be pointing in the direction of Winter Hill.
Open the undermentioned link and select "Granada".
Digital UK - Planned Engineering Works
By the way, are you also using a Freesat box as well as Freeview? as Winter Hill is purely associated with terrestrial based Freeview transmissions.

Michelle: The signal is fine from winter hill , I did a job in Liverpool 9 on Friday, mzr 12 aerial into a shielded 3 way splitter not an amplifier and all channels where fine including bay TV. You might need your aerial checking as you seem to have had problems for over 2 years.

evelyn: Further to that said by MikeB. Updating the channel list on a Philips HDTP8530/05 is simply achieved by pressing:- Menu / configuration /channel search, the info being on page 26 of your manual.

I'm in the derby area and was fine watching TV but about 10.30pm the freeview signal went. I've checked all the TVs in the house and non of them are picking up a signal. I've never had an issue before and persons round the corner don't appear to have an issue?
I have checked any maintenance and there isn't any for this area? What could have knocked the signal throughout the house as the aerial is in the same position it's always been?
Highly frustrating at the moment

Adrian: If the signal being fed to "all the other TV's in the house" is via a powered splitter? then your problem could well be down to the splitter having failed, the easiest way of determining if it has or not being by temporarily bypassing it, achieved either by connecting the aerial directly into one of the downleads used to supply the signal to one of the other TV's, or alternatively (if convenient) the downlead from the aerial being connected directly into one of your other TV's.
This said is based on you having mentioned, that "others around the corner don't appear to have a issue", that is provided that they are receiving Freeview from the same transmitter as you?

I'm live in the Spennells area of Kidderminster and this evening I have no Digital Signal on my Freeview TV. Do you know of any reason for this?
