How would you cut
Sunday 23 August 2015 5:40PM

The ones it ticked where broadband rollout, alba, parliament,1 extra,4 extra, Asian network, radio nan gaidheal, Cymru, s4c, world service, orchestra & performing groups. That is a saving of £613 million. Cutting the wages could save some of these services. Also when you tick and post it should register what people have chosen to get rid of.

Keith: you have a choice to make if you want to solve your freeview problem, either plague the person to come back and make sure you have proper reception, the thing is he does sound like he doesn't know what he's doing. Second choice is get someone new in to sort it out, the only problem with this is if they are like me I won't use other people's equipment so would scrap everything as I tell my customers is I only warranty my own equipment.

Mike: formby isn't the best for com 7, it does have slight drop off so if your aerial is old and grouped to cd you could have problems. I did an aerial the other day in formby and com 7 was low but good enough to work without problems. If you want me to look at it check my past posts and you will find my number.

MikeB: there isn't too much signal in formby, I was working around the corner the other day and com 7 was about 20dbuv down on the other multiplexes what I was getting was channel 31-45dbuv, channel 49-65 dbuv, channel 50-67 dbuv, channel 55-63 dbuv, channel 56-55 dbuv, channel 58-64 dbuv and last 50-66 dbuv. This was with a wideband aerial so with a grouped aerial it would be worse a faulty coax and you would be lucky to get com 7.

Andy: after reading all your posts, you said you had 90 dbuv at the aerial head, you don't need a masthead amp or a distribution amplifier, at those readings I could put it into a 12 way splitter and expect perfect reception on all TVs. If you have perfect line of sight to winter hill all you need to run 4 TVs would be a basic 12 elements aerial and a 4 way splitter. Sorry but you have been ripped off.

Rob: unlike what has been said 4g can cause interference but it is normal to cause interference if it is very close to you, ie the mobile mast is within 1/2 a mile of you. The most likely cause is all the trees around you. Get a professional aerial installer to have a look at your system.

MikeP: that's funny why then did half of a local village lose tv picture when a 4g transmitter went live near me. It was so powerful all tv pictures where lost. Every frequency went off. Filters didn't work the only thing that did work was labgear mastheads that have a 45db rejection on 4g. You do post a lot on hear but some of the things you post are wrong. You are trying to help people but sometimes you are not giving the right answer.
