Challenge, Yesterday etc should ALL be on Freesat. Freesat was sold to those of us who can't get a prooper signal on Freeview as an alternative equal service. We have been short-changed. We have to have rubbish shopping channels instead. If the regulator was worth the taxpayer's money it receives, it would do something about it.

Nick: Challenge is owned by Sky who wish you to use their pay TV service to watch them on satellite.
No one has EVER said that Freeview and Freesat are equal. See Compare Freeview and Freesat TV | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice for the list of clear differences.

Thanks Brian, but it does not explain why Sky is apparently happy to let us see Challenge on freeview, if we are not on one of the under-privilged 'light' transmitters.

Nick: Sky is forbidden by Ofcom from providing pay services on Freeview directly, as they have a "dominant market position".
The Challenge slot on Freeview was one they got when they purchased channels from Virgin Media.
