MikeB: Talking Pictures moved to COM6 back in November, so a HD (DVB-T2) tuner has not been required for a few months now.

StevensOnln1: That explains it!

To be honest, I hadn't bothered watching it for a while, so I hadn't realised it had even changed.

I live in Northumberland in NE20. I don't seem able to pick up the Talking Pictures channel on my TV. I have an HD TV with Freeview and Sky. Why?

Maddy Kardasz: Do you receive 4Music and Yesterday on channels 18 and 19? If so, retune and Talking Pictures should appear on 81.

Hi,
I live in HR3 and until recently have had Talking Pictures TV without problem. I have retuned a few times recently for updates and i get the channel but the signal strength is almost nil, checked 4Music and Yesterday as above post. Get both but with no signal strength.
Has there been a recent change? Is is time for a new aerial? Thanks.

Nigel Owen:

Put your full post code into the Digital UK website at Digital UK - Coverage checker That will tell you the expected reception conditions, the correct channel nuymbers to use (you may have tuned to a different transmitter accidentally) and what type of aerial is recommended as a minimum for your area. Nowadays, the usual recommendation is to use a log-periodic aerial in all locations as they get all the available signals.

Brian: when the TV channels changes are completed in 2020, the winter hill tx is reported to be all group A channels, not group C?At present we have 2 of them re: 31 & 37. Will the power outputs be similar or will we suffer yet again? At present we get all the MXs apart from the LOCALS or low power ones which are limited as directional. My aerial seems satisfactory at present.my pc is cw14pz. Nev,crewe

Nev Jack: There are no power level changes shown for Winter Hill (according to the Digital UK checker) and you are predicted to continue to have good reception of all main multiplexes at your postcode.
