Updates made to frequencies for transmitters
Made extensive changes today, a rather dull task as Ofcom produces all this data (Ofcom - Digital Switchover Transmitter Details) as PDF files:

jo: I means that the allocation of PSB2 changed in the Ofcom document from C41 to C41+.

not done a very good job of allocating the frequencies at Waltham!

Ian: Only COM4/SDN is out of group at Waltham. The frequency plan only ever guarantees the PSB multiplexes "in group". This is why you have been advised to get a wideband aerial for the last decade.
I thought you meant I had made a transcription error.

but surly offcom could have done it much better? But then when have they ever done anything well.

Ian: I think that is hugely unfair. If you can point to any single flaw in the frequency plan, I would be interested to hear it.
The planning is like 3D chess. First of all there is the DDR, which is removing loads of allocatable frequencies, and you have to switch transmitters over whilst not taking any other transmitter off air, sometimes for several years.
The plan has kept almost every transmitter "in group" for the PSB frequencies and minimized the number of retuning events AND has to take into account what is going on in RoI, France, Belgium, Netherlands and so on.
If you think you have a better plan, I would love to hear it.

Brian: Was there any reference to Black Hill using C40 instead of C50 in the documents?

KMJ,Derby: Yes, I thought I had entered that one. I've corrected it. Thanks.
