Hi Briantist,

I live in W12 London. Do you absolutely need my full postcode? At the risk of sounding like a paranoid pansy, I'm just a bit wary of putting it on the internet.

Eddie Rock: Yes, it is impossible to assist without a full postcode.

Eddie Rock: OK. I would have thought the best thing you can do is to remove the cable entierly and replace it with a new one.

Satellite-grade cable would offer the best quality signal.

I would suspect that all the messing around has damaged the cable internally.

Briantist, thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts!

I too suspect that there's an issue with the cable. How much do you think replacing it should cost roughly?

Eddie Rock: It depends on how long a cable you need, if you are doing it yourself it might cost £10-£30.

OK, so it's not an expensive job. I'll ask the landlord to get it fixed. I just need to find a specialist who's not going to snap off the existing aerial, fit a cheapo one on and then charge me £240 for the privalege as described above!

How much do you think an aerial specialist should charge to do it? £50-£70?

Eddie Rock: I would have thought you should be able to find a reputable installer who will do it for that price.

Hi im Marc Sterland owner of Aerials and satellites a RDI registered company in Redditch. The site you are looking at is now Aerial force and was Aeial systems once to. Che company is owned by the Barnes brothers and is based in lingfield. They have been on tv 5 times and are still up to there old tricks. I have seen there paper work and they are rdi register. They got round this by putting John Barnes wife in charge allso the web site contains address and local number the old sites are used to recieve extra work i guess. (They should be shut down). I,ve allso had customers call Mark Smith Aerial out and get Aerial force instead. This does not suprise me because anyone who has had an aerial from Mark smith will know its cost twice the price it should. If anyone has be ripped off or needs work checking over we will be more than happy to look for FREE. Aerialsandsatelliteonline.co.uk my wife will answer Gemma.
