Hi I wonder if you could shed some light on a problem I have. Last August I bought a Hitachi HDR165 freeview pvr running v1.6 software. I have turned on the automatic update for o.a.d but as of yet no updates. I understand the latest version of software is v3.4, any Ideas?

Thanks

As of 22/03/2011 I've lost all the BBC channels on MUX 1 from the Black Hill transmitter. Rescanning etc fails to find them. I've not changed anything and there are no issues with trees etc. Has my aerial developed a fault or is there any thing else I can check ? Thanks for any help.

Hiya , i'm experiencing a signal fault , the message say's that no signal is being received , i've checked the connections and been thru all of the procedures that you recommend. Any ideas , also can i check to see if i have a signal into the box , that is to make sure that i don't have a break in the cox-ax?

hiya ' is there a way of checking the signal into the sky plus box ? . The reason i ask is that i've had to joint my co-ax behind a skirting board , the system now says that no signal is being received , this after 6 mths of trouble free viewing . The question is , cable fault or box fault?

Dear Miss Washington

Reference CAS-656649-N7DWRJ

Thank you for contacting the BBC about your television reception.

As you may be aware, the Bretch Hill transmitter is a relay of the main Emley Moor site, which is currently running on reduced power. This means that your general signal will be weaker and susceptible to disruption by the weather more than usual.

Work is currently scheduled to continue at Emley Moor until 25 March however it isn't scheduled everyday and generally only during non-peak viewing hours (8am-6pm).
You can find details of current engineering work and known faults by visiting the links provided:

Digital UK - Planned Engineering Works

BBC - Help receiving TV and radio

I can only ask for your continued patience with regards to this matter.

I hope this helps to clarify the situation for future reference and thanks for taking the trouble to contact us.

Kind Regards

James Kelly

How much patience does one need? I am stillwithout channel 4 and the other three channels are just a snow storm.

Thanks Penny for your reply (17.03.11) I'm not quite sure what you mean about the loop of aerial wire? I'm desperate to get a good signal from the aerial socket in the bedroom... Could you, or someone else, explain in a bit more detail? Maplins are useless! Thanks in advance
