BBC Red button video now on Freesat
Freesat launched in May 2008.
The service has all of the BBC services that Freeview and Sky viewers have, but with a few exceptions.

From today, the BBC now provides the video streams for interactive sporting and entertainment events.
They can be found by tuning to a BBC television channel on Freesat and pressing the red button on the remote.

Hello all.
I'm having a problem with my BBC Red Button and I have no idea where to turn to ask for help, but having found this website I thought I'd post here.
I have a 2 year old Panasonic Viera TV with Freesat built in. I've always used the Red Button service on BBC, no problem. But for the past couple of weeks, the Sport Multiscreen option (page 3001) has lost signal.
This is pretty close to devastating for me, as I try and watch all the Red Button F1 coverage, including the practise sessions and post-race forum.
The dish came with the house when I bought it, and the previous owner had Sky+ for the football, so I just plugged the Freesat TV in and everything worked fine, and always has.
Just these last 2 weeks, any Red Button video content (Sport Multiscreen (Classic F1, Free Practise, French Open Tennis, etc), Radio 1 webcam streams, The Radio 1 Big Weekend festival coverage, etc) has all lost signal. All other channels are fine, and I've 're-tuned' a couple of times, but to no avail. I'm on the South Beds/North Herts border, if location has anything to do with it.
Any chance anyone can throw any light on the matter?
Many Thanks,
Alex

ajokay: The BBC interactive streams are carried on the same Astra 2A transponders as the BBC News channel. Can you watch that channel OK?
Have you tried doing a "first time installation" on your TV set?

Hi Briantist,
The BBC News channel is working fine, a quick breeze through the neighboring channels shows that CNN has no signal.
I haven't done a first time installation since the first time I set it up, but I guess I could give that a go.

I've just tried a first time installation setup and unfortunately that hasn't fixed the situation either.

I'm in north Oxfordshire, and am having the same problem as Ajokay (also with a Panasonic) -- I get a message saying 'no service', but not all the time. There was no service on the red button a few days ago, then it came back, and now it's gone again. So much for the BBC's coverage of the French Open. I'm also getting Look East instead of BBC Oxford as I used to, so I have no idea what's going on. Any advice gratefully received!

Sarah: Are you using Freeview? If so, what is your full postcode?

Is there anyone I can get in touch with about this issue? It still hasn't resolved itself and it's annoying not being able to get to the content that my licence fee goes towards. I'm just unsure about who to contact. The BBC? Astra? Panasonic or Freesat?
Cheers,
Alex

I am also having the same problem as ajokay, that is no Sport Multiscreen or Springwatch, yet these were available until recently (digital switchover?). I have tried a FreeSat retune, have spoken to Sony (as FreeSat is inbuilt), with no success. I have posted an enquiry with BBC with no response. Can anyone help us or tell us what is going on?
