Helen42: That's strange as Tacolneston does not carry a Freeview HD service until 23rd November 2011, however Sudbury does have Freeview HD.

Helen42: It might be worth doing a "manual scan" on C47 to see if the HD channels return.

I have a Sony 22BX20D which was sold to me by Currys at Plympton as capable of receiving Free HD programmes from the Plympton transmitter. It has a DVB-T tuner and H264 decoder. I still cannot get the HD channels. Can you help?

A.Davenport: Unfortunately this receiver is not fitted with a DVB-T2 tuner which is required to receive Freeview HD transmissions. You will have to buy a Freeview HD box and connect it to the TV using an HDMI cable to view Freeview HD. The TV is listed as HD ready, which means it will display HD pictures when fed from a suitable HD source.

I have an HD ready TV and a Freeview+ (HD) recorder, but cannot install the Freeview HD channels(50-54). I live in Bramcote, Nottingham, postcode NG9 3GW. Are the HD channels available in this area yet, or if not, when will they be. Alternatively, am I missing out an important step in installation?

Jim Embleton: HD services are available from all transmitters in your area.
If I were you, I would try manually tuning and to know what to tune to you will need to know which transmitter you are on (or which direction it is pointing in).

Jim Embleton: I think that the most likely transmitter you are on is Waltham which is at 116 degrees. If this is the case, then go through the menu tp the manual tuning option and tune to channel 58.
