Hi. I've connected a new Samsung bluray(BD D8200) with tween freeview tunners inside, and I can't get any of the channels I used to get with my Samsung tv Freeview.I've retunned the player but I just get all the BBC channels, Film 4 and a few others. None of the ITV, or 5, 5US etc. Can anyone help please before I send the player back. Thank you.

Ana: I have been unable to find the user manual online. Can you manually tune?
Assuming that your aerial is pointing at Rowridge (99degrees, which is almost east) then try manually tuning to Ch32 for ITV1/C4/C5 etc.

Hi! I live at WD19 4JL above a pub, I rarely receive good analog reception and can't even receive the Wi Fi from my living room, where the box is about 10 meters away, so you can imagine my trouble with my new freeview box no signal no matter where I put it! My outside arial doesn't seem to work and the rest of the household is with Sky.
My brother says he gets freeview on his Xbox, but I'm not sure how that works...
Help!

I have just had a new TV and freeview/recording box. They have been connected to the old aerial and reception from the recorder is poor. Can I have the appliances connected to my sky disc?

Dorothy Quine: Nothing with a Freeview label can be connected to anything Sky as they use totally different operating systems. If you had indicated your location (post code) then your reception possibilities could have been assessed using the post code predictor, which although having its faults does give an idea of what's possible.
Maybe you could also mention what brand of recorder you are referring to and where your aerial is located.

Hi - I recently upgraded to SkyHD and have installed my old sky+ box in another room attached to standard tv ariel lead. I was hoping to use the box a freeview receiver - Is that possbile? I can't see how to change the input signal from satellite to ariel

Have just purchased a Panasonic HD tv with built in freeview. If i now buy freesat (for more channels and recordings etc) will the freeview be superceded and replaced by freesat so to speak. If so, can anyone suggest the most reliable HD Freesat + recorder. Thanks

Trevor Carpenter: No! the two systems will stay running in parallel to each other, as there are lots of areas in the UK that presently cannot, and never will at any time, receive a Freeview signal.
As far as a reliable Freesat HD PVR box is concerned, you cannot go far wrong with a Humax brand device.

Hi.
I am in the process of leaving Sky. I have a Sky+HD box, with which I understand I can continue to watch freeview channels. My question is, can I continue to use the record facility?
