Hi can anyone tell me if there is a problem with our local DAB radio transmitter (ayrshire)? We have 4 DAB radios in the house and none of them are picking up all the channels they did early yesterday morning. the channels seemed to disappear during the storm. Our closest one, I think, is Darvel which seems to have just gone. Our radios are working as we can get a few channels on them.

We are in Kilmarnock and are not receiving any TV signal, is there some sort of issue and when will it get resolved. Since AM 18th of October and 1700 hours still no signal on any of our TV's different inputs.

Frank Noonan: The Kilmarnock area is served by the Darvel transmitter and which is fully operational, therefore your problem has to be caused by a fault on your aerial system. When you refer to your TVs having different inputs, are the TV's in question fed from the output sockets of a powered splitter? if they are, then check that the splitters power supply is still switched, should it be OK? then try bypassing the amp by connecting the aerial down lead directly into one of the TV's output feeds followed by retuning the TV, although "only" if you have retuned it since the problem first occurred? otherwise don't!
If bypassing the splitter results in a picture of sorts, then the splitters internal power supply has failed.
That said is based on you "not" being connected into a communal aerial system? if you are, then consult the maintenance department of wherever you reside as they are responsible for rectifying the problem.

Linda Todd:
There are no currently reported problem with the Darvel transmitter.
Please supply a full post code so that we contributors can check the transmission and reception condition at your precise location, a partial post code is not sufficient as it can vary along a road.
