Reception with my Samsung HD TV has gradually deteriorated over the past few weeks and for the past two days I have only received BBC. This morning no signal at all on any of the channels. I have tried resetting. My aerial is outside on the roof pointing to Hannington.

Why Samsung HD has lost signal and I am not getting any reception. The aerial is on the roof pointing to Hannington. Reception has gradually deteriorated over the last few weeks. I have tried resetting. Is this something to do with the changeover due on the 8th February?

jean harris: It is hard to be specific without a postcode, but Freeview HD is reported to be working correctly at Hannington. I have a Sky HD Digi box. I use it as a freeview box and don't have a SKY contract. About a month or so ago I stopped being able to see the Free HD channels, although I WAS getting sound, I notice that has now stopped too.
Now it's just started to say 'No Satellite Signal etc..' on Channel 5 and sometimes on BBC1 & the FREE HD Channels.

Tried all the resetting suggestions, like turning on/off removing card, cables etc.

I'm lost. Anyone help?

James is there any trees in line with the dish if it has started in the last month it about the same time as the sap starts to rise in trees go into leaf if a tree has also got bigger. If this is the case the dish could be moved if no trees could the dish have been knocked. Does the cable run over the roof when sky fit a dish on the back of a house and the box is in the front they sometimes just throw the cable over the roof and it can rub and break. The only other two things it could be is the lnb on the front of the dish or your hd box.
