I am so Fed up now with this free veiw i feel like throwing the tv into the bin. I am now using computer as i feel it has been one big con. I have bought Digital aerial ect ect ect done this done that but the bloody thing still will not work. How we have been conned. David Carterton Oxfordshire

D Matthews: You possibly reside in an area where Freesat might have provided the perfect solution to the problem, that is providing you are not facing into a tree in a S/S Easterly direction and you can accommodate a satellite dish, as satellite reception is for 99.9% of the time totally reliable.

I have a T.V. LG and it is set up in German. I want to re-tune it as I am in the Winter Hill area but cannot understand the menu as it is in German. Can you help. I have successfully re-tuned my main T.V. which gives instructions in English. Help!!!

Maggie do you have the instructions? If not, google for and download them. Then read across from English to German.
One of the setup options is probably language play from the MENU button. "Sprache" is German for Language.
Was it German bought?

jb38 - my guess is that the prediction sites make no allowance for better propagation over water rather than land. You can SEE Snowdon from Lytham. Doubt if you can see Winter Hill!

Steve P: Yes quite so!, as although DUK's predictions can in certain instances be reasonably accurate, however in other cases I feel that either rose tinted glasses are being worn or alternatively patches are being worn over the eyes because of just how far out some of the predictions given can be, and that is even when taking into account the fact of it being exceedingly difficult for anyone to determine exactly where a UHF RF signal will or will not reach because of the variables involved.
That said though I do appreciate all the other info they provide such as TX powers and channel numbers used by same, saves a lot of cross checking and so the site does serve a very valuable purpose.
