BT tell me that if you have the DSL internet service from BT Internet and at a speed above 5.6 Mbps then you should be able to view BT Sports.
As I only get 2.5 Mbps I am unable to confirm whether this is true nor what the performance is like. Clearly having a fibre-based internet service will give faster broadband speeds and hence better viewing via IPTV but the roll out of fibre is still somewhat limited across the country, especially in non-urban locations, and many towns are not yet equipped and some are at last 'taking orders'. At a price premium of course!

This is the big "can of worms". Many do not have a broadband speed anywhere near video-viewing minimal requirements - and near-zero hope of improvement and zero hope this century of fibre-optic to the home line-box. "Providers" concentrate on high population-density areas. (The same applies to DTT and 3GB and 4GB networks.) Broadband subscriptions should reflect the real average download speeds. I get 0.5-0.9MB/s, but pay the same as others on 3++ MB/s who can use iPlayer and other streaming services. The Beeb et al are inquitous in fomenting online viewing - not least as this reduces even further the download speeds of other subscribers further down the line. The much-vaunted market ain't working - except for the fatcats. Surprise, surprise :-).

Marie Macsween- The general answer is yes, People using a Skybox but not subscribed to SkySports can receive BT Sports.
People using Satellite Box with a Cam Slot should be able to subscribe to BT Sports

Steve P- People subscribed to BT-Internet will get BT-Sports free for 12 months. That includes the use of Sky Boxes for watching TV.
I do believe there are some internet connection problems but I'm not sure where this concerns Satellite signals?, I think its to do with Youview Freeview boxes?

Hi I live in the PO20 area and tuned to the rowridge transmitter and am about to turn my aerial to vertical. Do I have to turn the reflector the same or leave that horizontal? Thanks

HI I WANT TO FIT A NORMAL ARIEAL IN MY DAUGHTERS LOFT, SHE STAYS APPROX 10 MILES AS THE CROW FLIES FROM THE DARVEL MAST IN SCOTLAND, IN FACT THE MAST CAN BE SEEN FROM HER UPSTAIRS WINDOW NIGHT OR DAY, QUESTION ON,E IS WHAT KIND/TYPE OF ARIEAL SHOULD I USE HIGH GAIN ETC??
QUESTION TWO, THERE WILL BE TWO TV's SO I HAVE TWO CABLES IN THE LOFT, CAN I JUST USE A SPLITTER??
