Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Angus (Dundee City, Scotland) mast?

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

I now do not receive any digital signal on my DAB radio but I did before. Has anything changed recently?

stanley band: The D1 National mux transmits on a different frequency in Scotland from the rest of the UK, so you'll need to retune your DAB radio.

Live in Carnoustie Angus and since 3/10/13 have had no or very limited freeview channels, any idea when the works are to be completed.

Ken: have a look at the Angus TV page - Angus (Dundee City, Scotland) Full Freeview transmitter | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice

although there are engineering works, its unlikely you should be getting nothing at all. Check your system as well.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, moved to this new apartment 5 years ago, there is a communal aerial which worked fine until 10 days ago, most of us in the building are without a signal, talks amongst the residents are that the aerial will need to be renewed but think i will go down the free sat route.
Cheers Ken

Ken: might not be the actual aerial, could be an amplifier or something similar that has failed. I'd have thought the easier option would be for the landlord to get an aerial installer out to see what's wrong than to get Freesat.

Ken: I'm with Michael - if you'll all without a signal, its the distribution system which is at fault (power supply gone?) - the landlord/agents needs to sort it out.

You can go Freesat, but its going to cost you £99 for the dish and the cost of a new recording box - about £350. I'd ring the leasing agents first!

I have recently moved to Dundee and am unable to receive a clean BBC Radio 4 signal on FM on any of 3 portable radios. Some other FM stations are fine and my equipment received radio 4 fine in my previous home in England.
The Radio 4 signal seems very week and suffers from a buzzing type interference both inside and outside the house.
Any suggestions, or is this a problem with reception in this area?
