I have now lost all signal can you tell me what the problem might be?

- the aerial has been moved or damaged;
- the cables or connectors that connect the digibox to the aerial are damaged;
- the digibox has broken.
If you have a "spare" digibox you use this to test the aerial connection. Can you still watch analogue TV OK?

I turned on my TV this morning and tried to get BBC News 24. I sometimes forget the new channel no that started with 3 so I go to 80 and that tells me what it has moved to. This morning it didn't and other channels had "no information". I did a retune and found BBC News 24 on channel 107!!! All seems ok now but why has this happened. I did the September retune.

TV working fine till upto a week ago then every channel apart from the radio I keep loosing signal I've retuned it lots of times, unplugged it. It's only my tv aswell what else could it be?

jk: Your signal might never 'magically' come back. You have a problem with your system, and its not going to go away. It might get better for a bit, but its not going to stop having a problem.
Its a good bet that it gets worse when there is rain, and gets better when it is dry. When it rains, mositure gets into a broken connection/seal or worn cable, and kills the signal. When it drys out again, it comes back. But its not going to get better. Call a professional.

My tc us a freeview tv I was watching it last night and all the channels just randomly stopped working. I've tried retuning unplugging ect but it still does not work. Any ideas?

Since coming back from holiday on Monday, I'm havinng trouble tuning in to Channel 44 from the Hannington Transmitter, I live at RG1 6QB and notice that I have some 4G masts nearby could this be causing a problem ?

Anyone having poor reception on CH22+ from Rowridge? My Humax says that all channels are 80%+ signal strength and 90%+ quality with the exception of CH22 which is ok for strength but quality is 30 and the picture and sound are blocky and poppy!

Dan: Probably interference from Stockland Hill which is in the opposite direction and whose COMs are co-channel with those of Rowridge. Since switchover in April last year Rowridge has been broadcasting vertically as well as horizontally, so the suggestion would be to turn the aerial for vertical polarisation. However, today the powers that be don't connect things up so they're all singing the same hymnsheet which has resulted in the new HD multiplex (COM7) from Rowridge being horizontally polarised only...
So either turn your aerial for vertical polarisation for better COM reception or have it horizontal for COM7 (and COM8 when it comes along) reception with possibly variable COM reception, unless you can site the aerial somewhere that the unwanted Stockland signal is blocked but where it can pick up sufficient Rowridge signal, e.g. mounting it on the side of your house facing Rowridge so that the building acts to block the unwanted signal; this also requires no reflections of the unwanted signal towards the front of the aerial, so no solution like this is guaranteed to work.

I have BT vision and receive most channels without any problem however sometimes I can get Motors TV and at other times - usually when there is something we particularly want to watch - we get the message 'you equipment is not compatible with this channel' does anyone know why this is happening? We may get the channel for a week or more with no problem then the following day loose it completely - very frustrating!

Excitymouse: Motors TV is broadcast on the COM7 HD transmitter which operates on a much lower power than the main channels, your problem most likely being caused by the signal received from this transmitter being low to the extent that its not much above the minimum required to resolve a picture, but with it dipping under at times hence why you are unable to view the channel.
By the way, this multiplex is also used by (107) BBC News HD / (109) Community HD, likewise its assumed that when Motors TV drops out you are also unable to view these programmes either?
Further advice can only be given if your location is known, this in the form of a post code or one from nearby, e.g: a shop / Post Office, as this would enable access to info on the transmitter that covers your area.
