Read this: ITV Hub to replace ITV Player and ITV.com
Summary: The move seemingly makes sense, as ITV claims 30 per cent of its usage on PC and mobile is from live streaming ITV's channels, which include ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, CITV and ITVBe, rather than the on-demand catch-up service through ITV Player. ITV also showed off new branding for ITV Hub that uses the different coloured dots from the various ITV channel logos and shows how ITV Hub is at the centre of all of ITV's content. - www.expertreviews.co.uk

Watching a couple of hours of TV a day, which is what we like to do, is relatively simple. The problem is CHOICE! There are so many ways of watching TV now, so that if you forget to record a clashing programme you can usually find a way of watching it online. However, venturing online, getting disparate pieces of equipment to interact with each other, and searching for compatible content is getting increasingly complex. The new ITV HUB sounds a great idea but - will my TV find it? My Apple TV? My video recorder? No doubt there will be an App for the iPad as well. And since we still rely on some copper wire and the BT Open Reach cable network ( which is beginning to struggle on occasion) we may just go back to the days of, "What's on telly tonight?"
