What is happening with the BBC and this government?
What is happening with the TV I enjoyed in the past and still do today? I always watch the BBC News Channel (as well as other BBC channels), I always use the Red Button for quick updates to News, Sport and Weather so other than the Tories hating the BBC and want rid of it, why is this loved institution being treat the way it is? It just can't be for saving money, surely?

The more I learn about the BBC, the less I like it. Let them scramble their garbage and survive (or not) on subscription. They are no better, maybe worse, than the Hollywood studios, dictating to manufacturers their DRM requirements, which must be met if they are to get the EPG Huffman decode tables required for a functional product.

But Briantist has previous;y explained why that would not be a viable option. It's too expensive to operate (ask Sky) and few TV sets currently have the facility to unscramble the signals.
