Hi Mike Thanks for the reply. My postcode is DD4 7UN. I have tried direct;y recording BBC4 HD and it produces exactly the same fault. Blinking record light for the duration of the broadcast but no recording.

Both the HDR and television are less than 2 years old and are fully HD. Until October (I think) I was able to record BBC4 HD. I can still record all the other HD channels but not BBC News HD which too is on COM 7.
I'll try to record Al Jazhera HD later, that on COM7. At the moment I think it's a problem with that Multiplex.

I cannot record any channel that is on COM7 either directly or via the EPG. I have retuned.

It's a Panasonic dmr hwt250. There is a masthead amp on the antenna and the hdr has it's own antenna connection. The hdr is connected to the tv with an HDMI cable. It can receive and displays com7 stations but will not record them.

Well as mysteriously as it occurred, my recording problems with BBC4 HD have disappeared. One of life's enigma.

I notice that BBC4 HD has moved to com8. Is this why my ability to record it has been restored?

I have had a problem recently with not being able to record BBC4 HD. I have retuned my Panasonic HDR and checked that the software is up to date. I can play BBC 4 HD using theHDR as the tv tuner but setting recordings using the EPG recording does not start.
Can anyone help with this please?
I live in DD4 postcode
