Thank you for that info! I am very pleased that I was mistaken about the recordings delete.

My reception on most channels, BBC 1,2,3 4,9, 19,Ch 4 etc. is good but for ITV6, RT, LBC Radio (perhaps others that I don't watch) is terrible with pixellation, crackly sound so unwatchable.
This has been happening for the past year so was OK before.
Now sometimes I move the indoor aerial (high outside aerial had same problems but obviously couldn't move it around) and can get RT OK but the BBC channels are then unwatchable! It would seem to me that the problem channels are just too weak - have they been weakened?
Every day I have to move the aerial to a different position to watch those same channels I did the day before!
Advice welcome - thanks.

How can I find out which transmitter I am using from info from my TV? I thought I was using Hollington Park but I get RT perfectly. From my house Heathfield is at 299 deg.but as I have no compass I cannot be sure it's that one.
I may be in line of sight of the Bexhill one but I get no signal from there!
Any help please.

Transmitter engineering: Is it a fact that the lists of all the TV stations does not incluse RT except for RT HD?
I cannot receive RT except in pixelated form in two locations;-
1. At TN34 3LZ , aerial pointing at the Bohemia mast - other channels OK.
2. At TN38 0NS, pointing at the Hollington Park transmitter, I think - can't tell. From here I get all BBC stations including Parliament, BBC News, Sky News Cannot get Yesterday Ch 19 also
At this last location I should be in line of sight of the Bexhill transmitter but get nothing from there. Also nothing towards Heathfield altho except for two bits of line of sight obstruction I get nothing. My aerial is H but next door neighbour has his V!and gets good reception! same direction as mine.
So how to get RT?

TN38 0NS
I had a TV man come to inspect my aerial which was aligned horizontal but not pointing at Heathfield.
He aligned it vertical and pointed it at Heathfield which gets better signals.
In the details above on the site the aerial is always aligned H so why is mine V? Thanks.

Doing a full rescan/first installation on my PVR (Topfield 5800) will delete all my recordings (this aspect not mentioned on any site I've looked at!). Please confirm if just a channel rescan will not be sufficient.
Thanks.
