Below are all of KMJ, Derby's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Mike: The extra HD muxes are not expected to commence service from Emley Moor until July 2014, according to the current timetable. This date could change, according to the weather conditions when work is planned and progress at other sites which are due to be completed in the earlier part of 2014.

Paul: There is a very good chance that you will receive the new muxes on a group B aerial. The gain curve of the aerial falls away gradually towards the lower UHF frequencies, in contrast to the sharp fall in gain experienced with frequencies higher than about C54/C55!

Sid Wyles: The area receives a good signal from both Waltham and Belmont. As Belmont PSB1&2 are on a lower frequency, they are found first when scanning for channels. In this situation many tuners will store the first set of channels found in the LCN (normal) positions in the channel list, with regional alternatives (eg Waltham) stored in the 800s.

Rob: They don't do everything twice! It is the same service (received from the same signal) that appears in different positions of the channel list, depending on the tuner being used. Sky and Freesat tuners are selective as to which services they load into their EPG, a generic satellite receiver simply lists all available services.

Deirdre Trew: If you connect a Freeview box to the A/V input of your VCR to act as a signal source instead of the VCR's internal tuner, you will be able to record programs from it.

Roger Higgins: If you have lost the channels from the channel list you will need to re-tune when the transmitter is back on air to restore them. The BBC SD multiplex is shown as having returned to service at 10.37 this morning 3rd November 2013.

Russ Dring: Well spotted! There are two dates in the next few weeks (26th November and 10th December 2013) which are shown for COM7 starting at a number of sites. Note too that the power is shown as being higher than originally suggested. The local TV muxes have also been included in locations expected to receive a signal.

Frank: Newhaven is a relay of Heathfield, so carries BBC Southeast and Meridian Southeast. Use a group A + Group E diplexer to add Rowridge to Newhaven. Preferably use a group A aerial for Rowridge. Newhaven is group B, but if you have a wideband aerial in use this would be suitable for the Newhaven signals.
