Below are all of KMJ, Derby's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Albert Alexander and Andrew Marjoram: The problem in Aberchirder is the frequency clash betwean the COM muxes from Durris and the PSB muxes from Knock More. I tried a postcode in Aberchirder which suggested that the best solution is to diplex a group A aerial for PSB muxes from Durris to a group C/D aerial on Knock more for the Com muxes. The situation could of course be different for different locations around Aberchirder.

kirk: according to the Digital UK postcode checker you should have good reception of Freeview HD from Pontop Pike on C63. You will of course need a receiver which supports DVB-T2, that is a Freeview HD box or a TV with a built in "Full HD" tuner.

Stuart O.:I have just done a search on YouTube and I noticed that "bratwursthaggisgeek" has posted "The end of analogue tv in Scotland", showing the last 45 minutes of STV and BBC1 Scotland. At about 25 past midnight BBC1 made an announcement about the Black Hill switchover.

Vince: If you retuned at 5am when Sutton Coldfield was off the air it is possible you have stored channels for The Wrekin transmitter.

ian: If your aerial is pointing SW you are receiving signals from Caradon Hill. The Digital UK postcode checker shows reception of the HD mux from Caradon Hill to be poor at your location. Reception of Huntshaw Cross is shown as good for the HD mux, but if you are using a group A aerial for Caradon this would not work for reception of Huntshaw Cross which uses frequencies in group C/D.

john owen: According to the Digital UK postcode checker you are not expected to receive Freeview until switchover. Two transmitters (Belper relay and Ambergate) offer excellent reception from switchover, but on PSB muxes only. Mux BBCA will be available from 17th August; Mux D3+4 and Mux BBCB (Freeview HD) from 31st August. The COM Muxes might be receivable from Sutton Coldfield in September, but reception goes from variable to poor as time progresses. A carefully aligned group B aerial might still prove successful with reception of these muxes however as the deterioration in reception appears to be caused by interference from other signals using the same frequencies, rather than signals not being available from S/C.

Phil Taylor: The Digital UK postcode checker predicts good reception from Angus, Durris and Black Hill in addition to Craigkelly. Haddington delivers Mux BBCA only, and at lower strength than the other transmitters, the other two muxes from this transmitter being co-channel with stronger signals from Angus. Check the whole of your channel list for a mis-placed Channel Five. Most boxes use the 800s for duplicates and channels which have the "normal" slot already occupied.Others however do place channels randomly in any vacant position. If you have the option to swap channels it is then possible to place the required channels in the preferred positions in the channel list.

LD: All the standard definition Freeview muxes are transmitted in 8k mode from Black Hill. You need to enter C46, C43, C41+, C44 and C47 when doing a manual tune.

mr roberts: I am wondering which mast you have pointed your aerial towards. The Wenalt mast is an FM/DAB radio transmitter site and is situated North of Cardiff. Wenvoe however is the TV transmitter site, which according to the Digital UK postcode checker offers good reception at your location on all six muxes. It is 15 km away on a bearing of 191 degrees, receiving aerials need to be set for horizontal polarisation. To the West you also have the Abertridwr relay which offers good reception on the PSB muxes only. This transmitter uses vertical polarisation. A third option is Mendip, situated 58km SE of your location it currently offers good reception on the PSB muxes, then from 28th March 2012, on all six muxes.

Alan: Further to the above post It is likely that a channel clash is occurring with the PSB channels from Knock More. What is your postcode so a check can be made for reception from Knock More?
