However, they have recently done a u-turn and re-funded the World Service from central government. Mainly because they realise what a good propaganda tool it is.

This, of course, relies on your "smart" TV still getting software upgrades. My LG HD TV no longer works with YouTube or BBC iplayer. In fact, I don't think any of the "smart" features still work. But it is 5 years old now.
I have solved this problem by using Kodi on a Raspberry Pi controlled by Yatse on an Android tablet or phone. This really is a fantastic thing - try it!

John Mitchell: That's very interesting! I also use the Heathfield transmitter. Been waiting for BBC4HD ever since BBC3HD closed. Will re-tune this evening.
