Hamish Emley Moor transmitter is in Yorkshire and is Yorkshires main station, I wonder why you are not using the East Midlands transmitters.

I think Sky got it right too.
All makes of boxes work in the same way and are alike apart from outward appearence.
All use the same Remote Control.
Sky control the box makers to ensure they comply with the transmission specs.
All changes take place with no user involvement.
They get the right area local program to the place box used in.
These things can't be said of Freeview (and Freesat)

It is channel 22 with the BBC stations that is causing present problems here in Emley Moor area.

Hi Kieth, yes a filter could well be the answer to present problems. Think I should wait untill September maybe the 21 st and see what the end result is before spending money.
Then Belmont and Emley Moor will be on full power on all channels. Of course I have also to consider Idle relay and the final date for that to be at its final state of digital only.
Many Relays will not broadcast all digital programs but should Idle end up with just the same as EM a consideration would be the aerial to be turned vertical and directed in that direction, ok mine is group B and at moment Idle is group A.

The auto upate featured in the Set Up menu does not effect the please re-scan message on switch on.
I have tried the attenuation control of the aerial amp but only takes out the Idle reception. Belmont ch 22 is still stronger than Emley Moor.
Done all I'm going to do, await middle/end of September to see what possition is then.
Maybe the people in charge will adjust the beam direction of Belmont or the power, unless this is what they want from it.

It costs a one off £175 to have SKY free to veiw box, dish, card and installation.

Bilsdale vs Emley Moor will be another problem to be faced by people.
When I caravan say around York the unit in the caravan now is unsure which of these 2 to recieve.I guess people who want the NE version of say Look East(?) may well get Look North when EM powers up next month.

Do no not understand Bradford having no transmitter as it has the Idle site.
Anyway Leeds is so near it should be a joint station.

Brian, the BestBuy box can't be had for delivery and when I tried to order for collect in store it said they can't check stock.
