MikeP: Indeed, you did include 'no' in your answer.

Charles: Your just 25km from Midhurst - if anything, the power levels should be too high.

Check you actually tuned to Midhurst and signal levels - I notice that Guildford is on almost the same bearing, and its frequencies are lower - its possible you've tuned into that instead.

Stuart: Two things leap out at your answer

1) Your getting just 50% signal strength - that's surprisingly low for some on in South London! You have to ask the first question - are you tuned to the correct transmitter? A postcode would be a great help, but check that your tuned to the transmitter you should be.

If you are, then you have a problem with your aerial system. Signal strength should be checked on all mixes, to see if it's just one mix. If it's hitting a lot if them, then it's probably not just your aerial being out of group.

Stuart: Do you mean 100% quality or strength? 100% quality is great, but 100% strength is much too high.

Jean: How do you know there is nothing wrong with your aerial?

If you were getting a useable digital signal before, you should get one now. The only changes could be:

A) the tuner in the new tv could slightly less powerful than the one before

B) you have accidently tuned into the wrong transmitter

C) your aerial system has a problem - check all leads etc.

It could well be that what you are missing is the muxes that moved because your aerial is now out if group, or that your tv has a software fault.

But the most likely reason is that you have a weak signal because you have a problem with your aerial. If you put your postcode into the site, you can see what sort of signal you are supposed to get, and then people can go from there.

Rosie: considering just how close you are to the transmitter, either you are tuned to the wrong one or you have a major problem somewhere in your aerial system.

Tina: if you have lost signal, and the transmitter is fine, then it's your system at fault. Start by checking all cables and connections. If still no joy, then you might need to call out a professional.

Glyn Taylor: if your signal breaks up when it's raining, that points to a fundermental problem with your system, probably rain water getting in. You need to get it checked.

Michael: Are you sure you are tuned to the right transmitter? Since nothing should have changed other than some frequency changes, it's either that or your aerial is no longer picking up channel 29 because of the frequency change

mary: keep it country is on an HD mux so you shouldn't need to do anything than just watch the tv. I suspect that your tv and pvr have been set up incorrectly, because you should be able to watch it fine without doing anything like your doing at the moment.
