Below are all of aerialman's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page. What about the frequency order after the changes at each transmitter?are each multiplexes being placed starting with BBC A and finishing with AQUIVA B,from lower to higher frequencies,as you suggest.
So for example taking the Wrekin transmitter, although there is no frequency changes, will the multiplexes be re-ordered? starting with BBC A on ch 23 and ending with AQUIVA B on ch 47?
If so this would be very logical from a tuning and logistical situ.

Ima: The first issue you have is that the 3 Com channels from Blaenplwyf, channels 22,25,28,correspond to the three channels broadcast from the Llangrannog relay. This may affect the quality as well as the signal strength thus incurring the 'digital cliff' poor quality/no picture.
I am making an assumption that you are on higher ground above the village and sea front and that is why you are receiving a use-able signal from Blaen-plwyf?To improve your reception a roof top would be a better option and better still if if you're on high enough ground and can receive Presely TV transmitter all channels are clear of interference from any local transmitters.
After all the Llangrannog relay is dependent on the incoming signal it receives from Presely.

Ray: If you are on high enough ground in and around Tenbury then Sutton Coldfield can be very useble, unfortunately the xtra HD channels are broadcast at a lower power than the PSB/COM channels from Sutton and are likely to be more marginal.
I have installed high gain TV aerials with Mast head amplifiers in 2 location in Tenbury Wells, with success, and in spots that were not that advatangeous to clear line of sight!of SC
AS you know Ray,the Tenbury Wells transmitter is 'freeview-lite'

It seems the information above is already 'out of date'.
According to Digital UK and the map of 700Mhz clearance, dated September 2017,transmitters such as Winter Hill and Mendip are likely to change frequencies in the 1st quarter of 2018!
But no information on why this has been changed?

This list is not accurate and up to date!Best to go to www.digitaluk.co.uk ...go to detailed post code checker, put your
postcode in and this will show you change of frequencies to your local transmitters in date form and final post 2020 channel numbers for each multiplex

Have identified LOC 2 channel 36 testing at 1kw from Sutton Coldfield at very low power.

Briantist:Thank you for trying to show frequency migration at some of the key Main transmitters. Is it known now at what multiplex sits with each frequency at any given transmitter?after change.
If you focus on your table that shows 'How does the transmission frequencies change over time'at any particular main transmitter the new block of 6 multiplexes always start with BBC A at the lowest frequency and then logical order stepping upwards finishing with AQIVA B at the highest frequency. Is this set in stone now?
This would make great sense particularly for tuning and also satisfy my OCD!
Take Moel y Parc for example, the two lowest frequencies are channels 33 and 36...clear channels...if allocated to BBCA and D3/4 in that order, this will largely increase the coverage area of those multiplexes as they wont be co-channel with Sutton Coldfield, any more...progress...progress..progress!
