A Lloyd:

I'm afraid the site owner here hasn't had the time to update all the information on this page or elsewhere across the site.

For a list of channels which should be up-to-date see -
Digital UK | Channel listings
but remember not all multiplexes are available at all transmitters.

You can check your own predicted reception on your digitaluk trade page (your postcode in Digital UK - Coverage checker )

There is no Local mux at Caradon Hill and unfortunately it no longer has COMs 7&8 see
Changes to the Freeview channel line-up in Plymouth, parts of Devon and east Cornwall | Freeview

If as MikeP has assumed you mean a "set-top" type aerial you will most likely be wasting money as he's said, but there are some around that have built in amplifiers as well which you MIGHT get away with but you'll have to search the market to see what's available at the time.

If you are thinking along the lines of a loft aerial then it'll just be a conventional aerial which you could get from a reputable seller BUT you should check your predicted reception first by putting your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker
If all the multiplexes are green and in the high 90's-100 then you could be ok.

Bob:

As you haven't given a postcode it could be that reception of the Local mux at your location is marginal, so sometimes you might get it, other times not. Also there could have been engineering work at your transmitter.
Put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker (detailed view) and look at reception at you locale. Local muxes are usually towards the bottom of the list.

Although some information on ukfree.tv is in need of updating by the site owner, us regular posters are normally up-to-date! Also, if you haven't, read my post immediately before your last.

J L Walker:

Check your aerial connections to your Humax. If you can get the local mux on your tv, you should get it on your Humax, but only retune when you know the signals are good ie getting them on your tv.

Also check the Humax website and look at their forums to see if you have the latest firmware and for any other tips. One trick that sometimes works is do an automatic retune with the aerial unplugged to clear all previous tuning then do a manual tune of the UHF channels for the multiplexes that you want/can get (when the signals are good).

Richard:

It depends on where you are!! Even then you'll need to find someone who knows. You could try asking neighbours and any one else in your area to see who they've used.

StevensOnln1:

Strabane is a Northern Ireland transmitter and will therefore be covered by Digitaluk. Any changes to other transmitters that might affect reception of Strabane will be reflected in the predicted reception should it have any impact. Bart seems to be concerned about the actual reception from Strabane and not directly concerned with receiving Donegal.

Also note that there is engineering work at Dover this week with "Possible weak signal".

Highly unlikely in your location whilst they remain moved to a Local mux. See MikeP's post 2 before yours and read the many posts on the True Entertainment page True Entertainment | free and easy where it will tell you how to complain and to whom.

StevensOnln1:

You have misread Bart's post -

Quote "What will happen when saorview in donegal changes some transmitters to the exact a as me frequencies as the strabane frequencies in September 2019"

The key words (with typo) being "to the exact a as me frequencies ...." which I take to mean "MY frequencies" and after all he has posted on the Strabane page asking what will happen. IF I am wrong then he'll have to look elsewhere, if I'm correct, the information I've provide will tell him.
