First problem is the 3 of us (and any other observers that might wish to add comment!) managing to watch the same programme where some sync issues are seen by at least one of us.
I'm wondering if the problem isn't showing itself on all main transmitters, WH being one maybe, (mine is Mendip) and as I don't know how C5 HD is distributed to the PSB3 mux I can't make any sensible comment on that. IIRC there was some "regionalisation" for advertising reasons several years ago, but that was changed when Paramount/Viacom took on the C5 network, it's supposedly all national now I believe, but from a distribution pov, that "regionalisation" may still exist.
One thing I might try is switching to a live stream when I see the issue on broadcast. I haven't been watching much C5 recently and even when it's been on I've not necessarily watched closely enough to spot a sync issue!
I might also try altering my aerial arrangement so that I can look at the HD mux from Wenvoe - but that wont' happen for a while I'm afraid.

Sorry, I haven't missed any point BUT I am missing a post. After posting the above I then saw your post on Coverage Maps about your aerial being Vertical, so made a further post here apologising and commenting then it must be the current weather conditions. That post seems to have disappeared!!
Making several posts in different places with different information isn't really that helpful.
Vertical polarisation doesn't unfortunately make signals immune from Tropospheric conditions, and also in some situations signal polarisation can change along a propagation path, so it's even possible that a signal that originated as horizontal could end up vertical in tropospheric conditions as there can be multiple reflections of the interfering signals.
Above, I didn't repeat the information that I'd posted in the post immediately prior to your Thursday one here (which I would have hoped you'd seen and read) albeit in response to another post in Nov.'24, I stated -
"How long have you had the problem? It could be current weather conditions, there is some tropospheric conditions around that will be causing interference problems for some on occasion. Such conditions can be very frequency dependant, so not all multiplexes will be affected, if indeed any others, it just depends on where the interfering signals originate."
In my direct reply to your post here, I did say we had such "tropo conditions" at present with links to current BBC and Freeview information.
Unfortunately, in your locale, from predicted reception information, COM5 would appear to be the most vulnerable of the COM muxes to this sort of interference.
Though you haven't explicitly said, from your recent comments I would deduce that your issue only started again recently with this current high pressure weather.

Duncan Riddell:
Hello Duncan. FYI This is an independent technical help-site but just to clarify, there are currently no reported faults for Durris and the transmitter isn't currently listed for Planned Engineering.
Regrettably, it's not a good idea to replace a TV just because you have reception problems, without getting your aerial installation thoroughly checked out by a professional CAI approved installer who will have professional signal strength meters and spectrum analysers. Especially an installation that has an amp/splitter which can introduce all sorts of issues in the wrong conditions more so if you have no filters and an older wideband aerial rather than a more recent Group K and can therefore readily receive interfering signals from a new/upgraded phone mast now using the 700MHz band.
Your locale should not have any reception problems from Durris which should be excellent.
The fact that your neighbours are also having problems and that this has been going on for months suggests that you are all suffering from interference problems.
Your friends in Cove are likely to have a very similar problem.
You will likely find that you all should have received a postcard from Restore TV.
You can check by putting your postcodes in this website here -
https://restoretv.uk/postcards-not-sure/
Get in touch with Restore TV and request a FREE Filter. All filters should always be fitted between the aerial and ANY amplification. (As an aside, external masthead amps need a waterproof filter fitted on the mast which Restore TV would fit for free in such cases).

BN Butterworth:
Brian, I'm sorry to say that a number of recent OS updates have broken so many things, it's getting very difficult to ensure one hasn't missed a post!
My (weekly) email updates are now virtually useless as they list most of the threads that I've posted in during the last few years and it's virtually the same content each week but occasionally recent ones are missing.
Even when looking for (all) my posts to check something recently posted, that is no longer displaying correct nor up-to-date.
Then there are some of the bugs already mentioned on this page which are becoming increasingly frustrating, as well as those mentioned on the 2025 updates page (which I struggled to fins just now but eventually did)..
The issue I reported here https://ukfree.tv/extras/inreplyto/1126096 is now occurring on even more transmitter pages and even a page refresh does not show up posts.
Please, I hope you can find some time to address some of these bugs.
