Below are all of Maureen's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Hi there,
Thank you for this reply. I'm getting quite confused as I know nothing about how all this works. My keyholders in France suggested I get a TV in the UK and that they know a TV chap in Brittany who can supply a 'Bush Digibox' for 145 euros. As I haven't seen the house for 3 years and the tenant has left now, does this mean I have an aerial there or a satellite dish?
Would be grateful for your opinion!!

Brian-as the original French TV and box was stolen, during a break in, my keyholders thought it would be cheaper for me to replace it from the UK and drive it over.
Many thanks for the info. re the box-I couldn't understand why it was going to cost 145 euros!!

Hi Brian,
Got more information from my keyholders today.
1. A satellite dish is still there on the roof.
2.If you buy a box in the UK it will need configuring and Ian's never done one of these but will have a go if that's the route you want to take. The settings needed are dependant on the location of the property, we think.
3. I didn't want to buy a high end box because one has been stolen and the TV will only be used for 3 months a year for holiday makers who want 'some' UK TV channels.
Would it be difficult for Ian-keyholder-to set the box to receive any UK channels?
I am VERY grateful for your help here, by the way!
Maureen
