One possibility is that the signal may be too strong. Please check what strength is reported by your television, concentrating on the most affected channels. If the strength is above about 85-90% then that could be the cause. To resolved that, insert a coaxial attenuator into the aerial lead feeding the TV, but add a flyw lead so the weight of the attenuator does not 'hang' on the coaxial socket of the TV.

Notts TV is a local service and is broadcast at a lower power output than the main channels. There is nothing you can do to increase the power. Check that all your aerial connections are in perfect condition by unplugging and refitting. Check also that you are withing the arfea served by that service.

The output power of the transmitters does not change at all, remaining the same throughout the day and night.

Knowing the area fairly well, I would suspect that it would be unreliable as it is a bit too far from the transmitter. You may get some reception but it would be quite variable. It would be far better to have a suitable outdoor aerial install at roof level and away from any water tanks and solar panels.

Please provide a full post code, then we can look up what services you should be getting. A partial post code is of no use as the Freeview system requires a full post code.

Please check the Planning Regulations applicable at the location. In many areas it is not permitted to have more than one dish and one aerial on the building.

Your TV is not remembering the new channel settings. To cure that, unplug the aerail and perform an automatic tune. When that has completed, plug the aerial back in and then do another retune. The TV should now remember all the channels. Check that it has found the want Welsh service.

The usual 'cure' is to perform a full retune after having unplugged the aerial. That will clear any remembered channels. Then plug the aerial back in and perform a further full retune. That should find all your channels and save them.

Do you receive the local channels on LCN 7 or 8? If you do then you should be getting those Sony channels as they are now only broadcast on the local multiplexes. Not all transmitters provide those services. If you provide a full post code we can loom up whether your transmitter does provide those. Or you could put your full post code into the digital UK Coverage Checker at About us | Freeview select the detailed view press Go and the scroll to the bottom of the listing to see the local channels - if any.
