The software for doing that transcription is still very poor at working out what is actually being said and often incorrectly translates into some occasionally amusing incorrect wording. Regional accents are a particular problem as are mumbling (all too prevalent these days|) and failing to speak clearly.

If you already had Sky services, then you already have a suitable dish but if your Sky box is a Sky Q type then it will not be useful for Free To Air channels and neither would the LNB on the arm of the dish. If you do not already have a dish then one could probably be installed and fitted with a suitable LNB. That can feed any non 'Sky Q' satellite receiver. The output of the box would normally be fed via either a SCART cable or on more modern boxes via an HDMI cable into the back of the TV. There would be no tuning of the TV to do.

Some transmitters are, in addition, fed via microwave links, determined by their location. The small dishes on many transmitter masts are also used for microwave communications.

It would be best to use a Group T (wide band) aerial to s=ensure you can receice all the transmissions now and in the future.

In addition to it affecting TV reception, it is also affecting DAN signals as well, causing either loss of some signals or fading of those. In either case DO NOT RETUNE, as Chris.WE says.

Simon Moore: As Chris.SE stated a change of aerial will make no difference as the effect is a purely natural phenomenon that nobody can control or change. Patience is virtue in all such cases.

For anyone to assist you we need you to provide a full post code. On;y then can we determine which of the over 1100 transmitters in the UK is the most suitab;e to your location.
Indoor aerials are poor and do not give reliable reception. It would be better to have an aerial fitted externally, usually mounted on a chimney stanck or a pole monted on the brickwork.
