Below are all of Stephen Phillips's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Rob Hill - I don't know specifically why Tyne Tees is last, but the whole switchover has been a huge multidimensional jigsaw of frequencies and strengths.
I presume TT was waiting for something else to be vacated by an earlier change.

Robert - The percentages are not standardised across sets, and once you are well below 100 can vary greatly from place to place.
Something at 9:15 daily suggests interference on a timeswitch. Streetlights perhaps.

Jon D - Sounds like your scan put weak channels it came to first in the 1 2 3 slots and stored stronger ones in an overflow area. You can probably move them; or try retuning with the aerial unplugged until you get past the ones you don't want.

Jon D - there's a note about temp aerials above. Dunno personally.
You can probably move the channels you want into the 1 2 3 etc. slots.

Surprised the ceefax test page is still going - it must die with analogue. Assuming you mean the one they set up to allow some prediction without a digital tuner being used.
The digital pic you get/don't get and the strength indication will be a far better measure.

Bob - Are you sure your TV has an HD TUNER?
Most are just "HD Ready" with a SD tuner, as the HD standard was only recently set.
If not, you need a box!

David - How far from CPal?
Try without the aerial; just the flylead. Can get overlaod.

In Herne Hill (3 miles north of CP) I need no aerial at all - any bit of wire stuck in the TV Ae socket will do. Currently just got a short flylead plugged in.

"The Digital Switch Over process for the Crystal Palace transmitter group, serving 12 million people in Greater London and parts of the Home Counties, has been successfully implemented by Arqiva."
I wonder how many of their viewers have been less successful?
