NG22 (Farnsfield Notts) Zero signal on C31 from Waltham. No problem related to Sandy Heath (C24). Have factory reset and cleared lists and tried to retune several times but signal is so weak 3,4 5 & 6 are now completely missing as available selection. All other muxes are OK, even having to use an attenuator on the feed. This is totally outside the users control. How long can the transmission set-up allow this to go on ?

Jonathan & Hobbitt.

Don't think we cab resolve this individually.
I know Briantist keeps telling us it is single channel interference but if is, it's not being generated in my house. The problem is so widespread, there must be a pretty powerful transmitter somewhere putting it out. I have given up for the time being as I am convinced all my kit (nearly new) is not at fault.
I have an Engineeering Technical manager at ITV ringing me back on monday. Don't know if he will come up with a reason...failing that I guess no MUX 2 until August. Keep smiling,J.

KMJ,DERBY.
Jonathan lives in the same village as me. NG22 My C31 varies - Quality 0-10% max.
Signal strength 0-10%.That's the highest it has been today and probably the highest since tuesday. Returns zero results on search.

Jonathan, ITV Technical manager helpful as best he can be but loads responsibility for all of this onto Digital UK. His remedy is to turn the aerial to Belmont which he claims is where it should be anyway. This rubbish as I am on the fridge of strong Belmont signal and not interested in "Look North" either as it is irrelavant, it is also further away than Waltham which has been a strong signal on all channels until this latest fiasco commenced.

I think Bren has struck gold with a credible answer to all this, so I will give up and watch what I can on analogue until August and hope that channel 54 will be OK then.

Tried a manual retune today on channel 31, it loaded some channels, but when individually checked they turn out to be Channel 24, poor signal and unusable quality. Could this be Sandy Heath (100 miles away from Farnsfield) !!

PS. To my last post.
If this is the case, why didn't somebody tell us instead of scores of people trying achieve the impossible and receive C31.

Perhaps Bren you should post your message on the other part of this forum, I am should many people would like to read it.

Mike Dimmick, Thanks for your comments. I have nearly new DTV's and have tried , as advised, clearing C31 manually and retuning. This has consistently failed, however took the step of returning the sets to factory condition and auto retuning. This has resulted in receiving the 4 good MUX transmissions from Waltham and Mux 2 on C24.
As you confirm I believe this to be Sandy Heath. All signals are strong and good quality. Maybe this might easily change for the worse if atmospheric conditions change, particularly with rain, but it is wait and see. For the time being all is up and running. What does a " Parking channel " mean ? Thanks J.

I am at NG228FE. HD channel 58 from Waltham has all but dissapeared It has been reliable since it started but now the signal condition quality is just above zero. Certainly can't use the programme guide to effect a recording as it is likely that it will result in a blank screen. Have tried a manual retuned but to no avail.
Is it the weather ?
Strange that the Orange mobile phone signal has weakened too.
