The Bedmond transmitter (Hemel Hempstead) did a shift of channels a few weeks ago. No mention anywhere that I can find about this.
BBC1 etc have shifted and now the 6 multiplexs are :
Ch68, Ch65, ch62, Ch59, Ch55 and Ch56.
I only found out by mistake when BBC1 went walkabout.
To compound the problem, Sandy Heath are now broadcasting at higher levels, so an automatic search is out of the question for me as its signal is stronger but quality worse - and my antenna is vertical pointing at right angles to Sandy.
This might help some of the people in 'iffy' areas (not that Bedmond has ever been the greatest thing since sliced bread)
In case you are wondering, I'm at HP4 2JL

Someone somewhere is telling porkies.
I use the Hemel Transmitter which comes off Crystal Palace and like others posting we have intermittent problems at the moment. Signal strength is generally holding up, then the actual program just breaks up before returning to normal.
This suggests the transmission link(s) are already starting to fail. No problem at the moment as analogue is still working well.
It should be great fun when the analogue gets turned off - still, not much worth watching anyway, what a waste of radio spectrum!!
Please don't say it's all OK or I might be tempted to cry!
