Below are all of Matt Clarke's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.@J Symons-you most likely just need a freeview HD box. You are predicted to have excellent reception.
@Martin-http://aerialsandtv.co.uk/onlineaerials.html look at the Yagi 18a.
For more help, a full postcode is required.

JB38-my reception forecast for Midhurst is predicted to be variable with four blanks yet I still get 5 out 6 multiplexes perfectly and the other one variable with a contract 18.
If you want to go on the roof, then Crystal Palace will be best-presuming you have a group A aerial.

Bob Smith: I thing you mean UHF channel 31 since 301 is a red button service. Without a full postcode it's is hard to tell the real problem, but it is most likely ch 31 HD mux problems. You could remove the Crystal palace cable from the combiner, so you only get sudbury or vice versa.

Do you have a wideband aerial? If so, it is quite possible that the aerial's front to back ratio is not very good. In other words, it can pick up quite a lot of signal from the back.
You could be better off with the one aerial on Sudbury with a 2 way amplifier/splitter feeding both televisions.
What channels end up in the 800s? Which signals are the most reliable?

Bob: You either have to buy channel filters to only allow one transmitter through. A - E Masthead Combiner / Diplexer is one. For sudbury only, put the cable into the E socket and the output wire into the com. For crystal palace only, you should plug the aerial into the A section.
Or- build a stacked array to phase cancel the other signals. Personally, I think option 1 will be easier.

If it's a communal system, there cold be a filter to prevent 22 getting through.

@JB38-if you look at my prediction for ch 22 from Crystal palace of 9 and 98, you really would not think reception is possible, yet it works perfectly. Glen R's 49 and 94 for mux 2 makes mine look abysmal.
