R W Penny,Arundel. Is your aerial horizontal or vertical polarisation and if so is it a group A type (tipped red) or a group W wideband type (tipped black).Polarisation could be a problem, but so could the preamp you mentioned on board as well as the aerial being a group W wideband type some 60 odd miles from your location to Rowridge, and possibly the condition of both your aerial co-ax cable and co-ax aerial plug too.If you leave a full post code preferably to ascertain the possibility of a single frequency interference issue on frequency 27 in your location, the D3+4 multiplex on Rowridge you claim has been erratic just recently,or possible inversion but highly unlikely then further assistance will be available to you.

Samuel Eggworth.I would take it up with the BBC with the person concerned with what you mentioned in your earlier text, not that anything will be done about it though !

Jill.London,N10 2ET.One possibility is you may have too much signal,or the likelyhood but unlikely that the Alexandra Palace relay which is very close by at your location could affect Crystal Palace transmissions you receive in your locality.Try a set-top aerial or either a piece of wire or a coat hanger in your aerial socket of your device and rescan. You may have to consider resetting your device to clear the previous memory, then perform a rescan without any aerial connections first time,it will find no channels then rescan again with your main aerial in,it may just do the trick.
If it fails then you may certainly do need to check your aerial, especially for any sign of ageing of aerial co-ax cabling and co-ax plug too,and importantly check that your current aerial is a group A type (tipped red).

Jenny.London,NW2 7DW.
First of all click on Freeview on the Crystal Palace transmitter on the most popular pages now, once this page crops up scroll down to FREEVIEW MULTIPLEXES highlighted in red, then click on slightly below underlined in blue "Freeview reset procedure",this leads you highlighted in blue TOP QUESTIONS followed by highlighted in black,Freeview and aerials-Most popular questions. My Freeview box has no EPG,is blank on FIVE,ITV3,ITV4,ITV2+1,has no sound or the channel line up is wrong.
Then from here onwards follow the instructions below but you must first once you reach here delete all your current channels or the reset procedure will not work.If you follow as instructed from here onwards hopefully it will do the trick, and bobs your uncle ! Let me/us know the outcome once you've completed the reset.
