Why is there two Al Jazeera channels on two separate EPG numbers? Both broadcast on COM6 so can't they timeshare on the same EPG number?
Al Jazeera Eng is on air 1800-2300 on ch.83 and Al Jazeera 6-8 is on air 0600-0800 on ch.84. Surely they could timeshare on the one channel number to save being on two different channel numbers at different times of the day?

And I have asked twice already but haven't had any response back yet as to if anyone could please tell me as to: Why is there two Al Jazeera channels on two separate EPG numbers? Both broadcast on COM6 so can't they timeshare on the same EPG number?

Saorview updates | Blogs

With myself not being Irish and not speaking Irish Gaelic, I was going to ask, 'How do you pronounce SAORVIEW', but seeing the information video from visiting SAORVIEW
Ireland's free digital television service
Or on YouTube via SAORVIEW: All you need to know to make the switch! - YouTube It sounds like it's pronounced 'SAREVIEW'. Am I right? And what does the 'saor' in Saorview mean? Does it just mean 'free' to translate as Freeview like in the UK? Or anything else? It would be nice if someone could tell me. Thanks. (LL115FQ)

At the top of the page, the pie chart shows this switchover will result in an increase of 3.4% of homes in the UK going digital, but the text alongside says: the next switchover of 2012 will see the number of homes with digital-only terrestrial reception in the UK go up by 1,419,788 from 92.15% to 97.54%. The pie chart also says '92.2% already switched to digital only'.

The maths do not add up. In the pie chart, An increase of 3.4% from 92.15%/92.2% would be 95.55%/95.6% whereas to get to the percentage amount quoted in the text as 97.54% the actual increase calculates out to 5.39% for 92.15% or 5.34% for 92.2%

So which is correct? The 3.4% in the pie chart or the 5.39% as calculated by subtracting 92.15 from 97.54?

Bilsdale (North Yorkshire, England) Full Freeview transmitter

Saw ITV1 and Channel 5 switch off myself also, Thomas, albeit extremely badly 120 miles away in Wrexham, North Wales! Never expected BBC1 to switch off as early as 11:30pm despite one programme ending and another starting at that time. Expected it to switch off mid-programme just after Midnight so missed their closedown.

Forgot to say, 120 miles away from Bilsdale in case you wondered which transmitter I was watching it on.

Four regional DAB multiplexes to close in 2013 to allow for bet

I look forward to the change as at the moment, on FM I can receive stations in both Liverpool and Shrewsbury but on DAB I can only receive stations from Liverpool as both regions have multiplexes transmitting on the 11B multiplex.
And hopefully more stations currently not on DAB will be on DAB by this time next year.

There is room on most of the multiplexes, Stoke especially right now so it would be nice to see them at near-full or full capacity also by next year.

It will be interesting to know if anyone living in South-West Scotland, Isle Of Man parts of Cumbria or North-West Wales or West Wales can now or in the next 2 weeks receive the Irish Republic channels from the Saorview transmitters in the Republic of Ireland.

Winter Hill (Bolton, England) transmitter

I was wondering, is anything transmitting now on MEN UHF57 where Channel M was?
According to the following website I sometimes look at, it says it's named as the MTN Multiplex transmitting the following channels: movies4men, movies4men+1, SONY SAB and ARGOS TV 24/7 on channels 51, 52, 53 & 54 respectively.
Are these transmitting? If so, why are they not listed on UKFreeTv? Or if they are not transmitting, why does it show on the other website? And is there any expected launch date for those channels if they aren't already transmitting?
