Dewi Loveluck: No one is going to make changes to the transmitter because one person get a weak signal. Have you investigated whether there may be a problem with your aerial system causing the weak reception? If you provide a full postcode we'll be able to access a prediction of what signal strength you should be getting. You could alternatively look at getting Freesat, which would give you far more channels than are ever likely to be broadcast from the Maesteg transmitter.

TONY ROGERS: Although Sony Movie Channel is on Freeview, it is currently encrypted on satellite and can only be viewed on a Sky box with a viewing card (although no subscription is required). You would have to ask Sony if they have any plans to make the channel free to air (FTA) and join Freesat.

michael: According to the article at the link below (A516digital are usually pretty accurate) BBC Radio Devon will be switching off their Torbay transmitter only. There is no mention of any reductions of broadcasting hours for any remaining transmitters. There is also a news item confirming the same information on the BBC's reception advice site. The BBC have to make huge savings, Medium Wave broadcasting is expensive and is listened to by relatively few people. Freeview is a good alternative for many people and it is easy to connect a Freeview box to a Hi-Fi or audio system with an auxilary input to listen without a TV.

Ciaron Drain: There are no faults showing for Selkirk and you wouldn't be the only person to notice if there was a major fault at the transmitter so the fault is likely to be something in your aerial system. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV and do not attempt to retune as this will not fix a loss of signal and will likely make the problem worse.

Julian Hicks: According to Digital UK, SDN/COM4 will move to UHF 35 on 21st March 2018, with PSB1 moving to UHF 33 in Summer 2019, then finally PSB2/3 & COM5 moving to UHF 35/36 & 42 in late 2019. I suspect this website's database wasn't designed with multiple stepped changes such as this in mind.

Knockmore (Moray, Scotland) DAB transmitter

Geoff Mitchell: You're predicted to get good reception of the BBC National stations and the Inverness local mux at your location, with fair reception of the D1 National commercial mux. Does your radio have a telescopic aerial or does it use a wire aerial? Have you tried moving the radio to another room/upstairs? Or borrow another DAB radio to test?

Dover (Kent, England) Full Freeview transmitter
Wednesday 3 January 2018 7:50PM

David Tyler: PBS America and Forces TV are both on the temporary COM8 multiplex which is broadcast (along with COM7) from 30 main transmitter sites covering around 75% of UK households. Coverage of COM7/8 will not be expanded to any further transmitters and both are expected to close some time between 2020 and 2022. So far the only channel to move from COM7/8 to a multiplex with wider coverage is Talking Pictures, which moved on 30th November 2017. No other broadcasters have made any announcements about what will happen to their channels on COM7/8 long term.

Burns .: At your location you should be able to get good reception of both Sutton Coldfield and The Wrekin. Can you receive Pick on channel 11 and Dave on channel 12?
