Radio stations on a DVB-T2 mux would use AAC audio, which would enable all stations to be broadcast in stereo at the same (or lower) bitrate that is currently used to broadcast in mono using MPEG2.

E Chartres: RTE1 and RTE2 are broadcast on the NI mux (along with TG4 and RTE's Irish language radio station) from various transmitters in Northern Ireland, including a low power transmitter at Divis, although there is a higher power transmitter nearby at Black Mountain which covers most of Belfast and large parts of the surrounding areas. Most aerials pointed at Divis will also be able to receive the NI mux from Black Mountain, the low power NI mux transmitter at Divis is there to fill in gaps in coverage.

E Chartres: RTE 1, RTE 2 and TG4 are broadcast on the NI multiplex from various transmitters in Northern Ireland. In some areas it is possible to receive the Irish channels directly from a transmitter in the Republic. If you provide a full postcode (or one from a nearby shop/pub/school/church/garage/etc) we can check coverage in your location.

Mary Bradley: The channel has closed completely and no longer exists. Nobody from this independent technical help website, which has no connection with any broadcaster can bring a channel back from the dead.

Stewart Tindal: Rothesay is a lite transmitter, it doesn't broadcast any other those channels and probably never will. You may be able to get more channels if you are in a location where you can receive a main transmitter, otherwise look at getting Freesat.

Brem: ITV Viewer Services would probably be the appropriate people to contact. Their FAQ page has a link to a contact form.

David Barnes: If you've still got Pick on Freeview channel 11, retune and Sky Arts should appear.

Graham: Depending on where you are located, you may also be able to receive BBC Radio Leeds on the Leeds local mux operated by Bauer.

John J: If there was a long running problem at a main transmitter like Oxford there would be hundreds of people complaining about it. Since there aren't, it's far more likely that there is either a fault somewhere in your aerial system or you are suffering from interference caused by something nearby. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, then follow along the aerial cable as far as you can safely access. Also, try to keep the different cables separated behind your TV, as HDMI leads in particular are a common source of electrical interference.

Philip Thompson: SDL expanded it's coverage a couple of years ago, but no further expansion has been announced since then. As well as providing capacity for more stations to launch, part of the business model of SDL is that it broadcasts from far fewer transmitters (mainly those which cover large towns or cities, plus surrounding areas) whilst still reaching over 75% of the UK population, but at a much lower cost to broadcasters than the D1 National mux (which is broadcast from I believe over 200 transmitters).
