Keith Rowcliffe: Most commercial channels such as GB News are never going to be broadcast from lite transmitters service areas of low population such as those in the Channel Islands. If you want more channels look at getting Freesat, otherwise if you just want to watch GB News and have a decent broadband connection it can be streamed online.

David Mundy: I haven't watched the channel, but from comments I've seen on this website and elsewhere GB News have a major problem with sound quality, so if all other channels are working there is probably nothing wrong at your end.

Steve: The COM7 licence is set to expire at the end of June 2022 and the multiplex is expected to close by that date. It will not be moved to another frequency at any transmitter. Nothing has been announced yet regarding what will happen to any of the channels currently broadcasting on COM7.

Kelvin Smith: If the figure of 96 for UHF channel 55 indicates a signal strength of 96% then you have a plenty strong enough signal for COM7 already, so fitting a grouped aerial is unlikely to help. BER of 2,000 would suggest that you have a high error rate so you are getting interference from somewhere. Do you have any HDMI cables close to your aerial lead? Poorly screened HDMI leads are a common source of interference and seem to particularly effect UHF channel 55, so try to keep them as separated as possible.
The Freeview detail coverage checker predicts that Ridge Hill would give a stronger signal on all multiplexes, which is the transmitter commonly used in Stonehouse, as Mendip is blocked by the hills in much of the surrounding area, so it may be worth considering realigning your aerial on a bearing of 328 degrees.

Lewis: According to the Freeview Detailed Coverage Checker you should get decent reception of the PSB multiplexes and reasonable reception of the COM muxes from Wenvoe. A wideband type antenna would be better than a Group B if you want to get the COM7 channels as well as the main PSB1-3 and COM4-6 multiplexes as COM7 is on UHF channel 55 which is above the frequency range of Group B.

Adrian Smith: If you can't receive a signal on your aerial then there is no chance that you will be able to receive it on an indoor aerial. If you could provide a full postcode and confirm if the existing aerial is mount on the roof or in the loft, or somewhere else then we can take a look a the predicted coverage at your location and somebody may be able to offer further advice.
Nobody else is reporting a problem, so it is extremely unlikely that there is anything wrong with the transmitter. As this is an independent technical help website, nobody here has anything to do with any broadcaster or the transmitter company, so nobody here can fix any transmitter fault.

Rob: Duncraig is a lite transmitter covering just a few hundred homes, so it is unlikely that most commercial channels such as GB News will ever be available. Your best option would be to either look at getting Freesat if you want more channels, or if you're only interested in GB News and have a decent broadband connection you can watch online.
