Ann: This is an independent technical help site, nobody on here can get it sorted as none of us have any involvement with the transmitter company.

Steve Donaldson has checked and confirmed that there is a power cut affecting the area where the transmitter is located and has provided details in the post directly above yours. Since he posted earlier, the estimated time for power to be restored has been pushed back to 14:00 on Monday 27th January, which would suggest that the storm may have caused some serious damage to the local electricity supply network. I'm sure that Scottish Power are working as quickly as they can, posting online demanding that they hurry up isn't going to achieve anything.

Robert Baird : If you read the numerous comments directly above your own, you will see that there is a power cut affecting the area where the transmitter is located. Scottish Power currently estimate that supply will be restored by 14:00 on Monday.

Anni: I'd expect Scottish Power to prioritise restoring services to homes and businesses with no power first. A TV transmitter is hardly an essential service.

Jim Finnigan: The latest update from Scottish Power is that they're aiming to restore power to the area by midnight tonight.

Derek Booth: I don't think this site runs a mailing list with that sort of information. It would be probably be a very complex thing to do for individual transmitters, given that there are over 1,000 across the UK.
