Derek Booth: I don't think this site runs a mailing list with that sort of information. It would be probably be a very complex thing to do for individual transmitters, given that there are over 1,000 across the UK.

There is an option on that page to sign up for a newsletter. It doesn't say explicitly whether this includes the list of channel updates, as per the above, but perhaps you might like to sign up and see.

Derek Booth: If you post a message on a transmitter page then you will get a email offering you the ability to subscribe to updates by email.
However, the email backend connection to AWS isn't working, so you won't get this right now.
This includes updates to "Transmitter engineering" but not changes to "channel number changes, new channels etc" as this doesn't trigger a page update.

Your best bet is, as has been suggested, Freeview's Updates and alerts | Freeview and then select the Latest Channel Updates posting. Updates typically take place on the Wednesday of the 3rd full week of the month (but not always). Some (seasonal) name changes can happen any time but aren't that common and retunes for them are rarely needed, a lot of sets update them when you select the channel or another on the same multiplex.
Full retunes aren't often required as there's rarely changes on the PSB multiplexes, it's usually the commercial broadcasters changing what they are providing on the COM muxes, and even then only when channels change multiplexes, often a manual retune of the multiplex concerned is all that's needed, but it can be all set dependant.
